Midge remember that night when the whole house was silent and no one was up, except this horse? freaky. oh and Hey Brice-man you are a stud. with those little muscles of yours.

This is me and my mentor Latricia after our Fall Fest skit. Yes i'm quite proud of the poster she is holding.

This is the guy that took the pictures of me in the boots that you all don't like. His name is Ian Holman Briscoe; he is a liberal democrat. He talks a whole lot of smack and beat me in a foot race.

Decisions

A while ago i called our mother dearest and was asking her to work through my latest decision with me. The choice between Track and Softball. (i know hard choice). After talking with Mum i've come to the decision to do both. My reasoning is Softball is fun, I have friends who play and i think it would be good to play again (provided i make the team). However, if my teammates all turn out to be lesbians in the first couple of weeks i may locate myself elsewhere. something about softball in college brings everyone out of the woodwork. (uck) TRACK however, Jay is the coach and is kinda making it mandatory for soccer players so i didn't have a choice on that one. I have been thinking about positives to this i'll be in shape for summer... ???

V-Day, Elder Bringhurst, School

Single Awareness Day was Monday. Until 1:00 i was pretty confident i was single, until i received two dozen pink tipped white roses. The culprit...? i have no idea who, however the positive is i have three dozen roses smelling up Kells and my room. (the other dozen came from Patrick). So roses mean different things (i had no idea) so here is a little info for you.

red passion, love, respect, courage, congrats

Red roses are the traditional symbol for love and romance, and a time-honored way to say "I love you." The red rose has long symbolized beauty and perfection. A bouquet of red roses is the perfect way to express your deep feelings for someone special.

pink rose

pink romance, admiration, sweetness

As a symbol of grace and elegance, the pink rose is often given as an expression of admiration. Pink roses can also convey appreciation as well as joyfulness. Pink rose bouquets often impart a gentler meaning than their red counterparts.

yellow welcome, welcome back, friendship, caring, joy

The bright, sunny color of yellow roses evokes a feeling of warmth and happiness. The warm feelings associated with the yellow rose are often akin to those shared with a true friend. As such, the yellow rose is an ideal symbol for joy and friendship.

white rose

white innocence, purity, secrecy, worthiness

White roses represent innocence and purity and are traditionally associated with marriages and new beginnings. The white rose is also a symbol of honor and reverence, and white rose arrangements are often used as an expression of remembrance.

orange rose

orange desire, enthusiasm, pride

With their blazing energy, orange roses are the embodiment of desire and enthusiasm. Orange roses often symbolize passion and excitement and are an expression of fervent romance. A bouquet of orange roses will send a meaningful message.

 lavender roses

lavender Deep Adoration, Majestic, Opulent

The unique beauty of the lavender rose has captured many hearts and imaginations. With their fantastical appearance, lavender roses are a perfect symbol of enchantment. The lavender rose is also traditionally used to express feelings of love at first sight.

BTW (by the way) Reed was transferred after spending 7 1/2 months in Winston-Salem he is now heading to Charlotte to the Carmel ward. We dropped him off at his transfer meeting, and picked up the new elder from Mesa, AZ.

recent quotes/conversations

"So you are religious?" yes i'm a Mormon. "Oh so shouldn't you be in one of those things?" (imagine hand gestures around his head, and then crossed himself) I'm not a nun i'm a Mormon. -thank you Aaron.

Class Monday "College is not the time to think, its the time to dream and if you are going to dream, dream big." thank you professor. fast forward to later in Mondays class "Miss Bringhurst what are you doing?" ... "Dreaming big."

School is officially in full swing and i find myself in 4 yes count them 4 Exercise Science classes. Which include two of my new found favorites. Nutrition, and Philosophy of Coaching. i've never wanted to be a coach but the more i pay attention the more it appeals to me. In my PhilCo class we had to pick a coaching book to read, i chose The Man Watching by Tim Crothers its phenominal it is about Anson Dorrance, UNCs Soccer coach. The language is not for the feint of heart but everything else is good.

Nutrition so fun fact for those of us that are constantly looking for a way to keep our abs in check, and our pop-bellies at bay. Sit-ups and crunches don't help until that "unmentionable" other layer aka Fat is gone. Doing those ab workouts only build up the muscle underneath and actually cause your little belly to stick out further. (Like after thanksgiving)

Among Nutrition, and PhilCo you find, Motor Development, Team PE Games, and Prevention and Care of Athletic Injuries. I love my schedule it's a lot of reading and a lot of information but it's worth it.

Airplanes, the Steelers, and Legalized Terorism

Good news peeps i will soon be out of your hair and back to Carolini where I am expected to get dressed everyday and pay attention in my many busy classes. Ah you never know how good you have it at home (midge yes that was directed at you.) Thanks by the way for all of you strange characters for making appearance on this side of town the other Friday. With the exception of that useless brother of mine, yes Chase. Anywho so i don't know if you heard but the Steelers are winning number 7 is it? in Texas in February i'm rather excited to watch them take it to the Packers.

Work. Gubler Physical Therapy is ... probably one of my favorite places ever. If the Midget is mean to me in the morning i get to take it out on patients. :) need i say i have found an excellent anger management program, which does allow me to make people cry. I love it and i am truly sad to be leaving my peeps back there all alone. will they make it without me? probably not but they will adjust.

Righteous Radiation and New Year Resolution

Well since you have been updated on the Bringhurst home life as of late by the Midget, i'll give ya a little update i'm sure some of you have seen my Ge-Tar upstairs and are probably wondering why i haven't been blessing your external auditory meatuss' with BEAUtiful music... well i broke the blasted G-string and unfortunately i do not have the proper tool to switch out the fragmented string. So anywho that's home, work... well it would be nice if i ever get to actually go in and work like i'm supposed to. arg.

This year i decided to set some of those hypocritical, usually unrealistic New Year Resolutions. You are probably wondering why i have such a "high" opinion of said goals? Well normally people list off a bunch of things they want to accomplish during the new year, but its simply a list that they hang on their fridge and glance at and say "Man i should do that" however it remains a gathering of words unless we enact a plan. (an example of said goal would be "Man i should be more humble..." ) So here we go to T's Big 3, usually this would refer to the Boston Celtics Garnett, Alan and Pierce, but today it refers to my 3 resolutions and my grand scheme.

HOW TO MAKE GOOD NEW YEAR RESOLUTIONS:
- Simplify life. Break life into categories which need improvement. ex School, musically, physically, mentally, spiritually... so on and so forth.
-Stick with a manageable number (2-3) do not OVERLOAD. it will just be discouraging more than helping and i'm sure one of us would fall into drastic depression. Pick 2-3 Categories.
-Decide what you want to improve in each category be specific set SMART Goals (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Time)
-Make a plan to obtain. see SMART above.
-Tell people about your GOALS and POST them. We people are kinda strange we like to tell people about everything EXCEPT what we would like to change about ourselves which has everything to do about admitting that we have faults. (yes Ty that includes you and sadly it includes me) Telling people about our goals allows them to help us progress and posting them is a constant reminder.

I'll post some of the good ones when i get them but here are a few of my funnies for your enjoyment.
