General Conference WOAH

I feel like I gipped all of you out of my General Conference thoughts and impressions.  Especially since this past conference will literally change the world. We had a bit of a heads up about what President Monson was going to say. (I mean we didn't know exactly what was going to happen... but we knew something big was on it's way.) One of the Rent's neighbors bumped into a general authority who told the girls that he expected each of them to serve a mission, which they all kind of laughed at, and then he said "Pay attention to President Monson's first talk this weekend."  We were in Provo with Jordan and Skye for the first session on Saturday when we heard the news about the age changes. It was awesome to be sitting there with Cassidy (19 in January) and Brady (turned 18 in May).  Both were so excited Cass texted her Bishop immediately and told him she wanted an interview as soon as possible. Brady called his Dad and I have no idea what they talked about, but he came back in and he will be leaving after this semester is over. Sad to say we didn't listen very well to the rest of the talks that session (I'm still re-reading them) the shock of what had been said hadn't quite left.
We all sat around talking about how this would affect missionary work throughout the world. Changing the age to 18 for men is such a blessing. Quite a few men are lost between high school and college a lot chose not to serve because of getting an education or they lose a bit of their desire to serve once they are on their own. This will eliminate a lot of that as soon as they graduate they can leave. What a blessing. Not to mention they can put off figuring out what to do in life for another two years. :) As for the women folk.  If I had been able to go at 19 ... I believe I would have what an awesome opportunity for them that desire to go.
I have been talking with Cassidy and Brady about this lately and they are honestly both so excited to serve it's unbelievable. (I'm slightly jealous actually and I told Zack we would be serving a mission one day.)
K besides that huge news... Can I just say Elder Holland is one of my all time favorite General Authorities? When he told the story about Peter and Christ I got goosebumps. He literally gave me chills. I love it when he breaks down stories that are so well known, and gives them a deeper more personal meaning for each of us. "Peter. do. you. love. me?" I loved it.  Elder Oaks also when he talked about children it hits home with me, as i'm sure it does with you. Adopted children are so wonderful and special and there are so many other children that need good homes and good parents.

Also family let's all go to conference one time k? It's amazing.

Moving Parade

That is a HUGE stack of boxes we picked up from the Market  on our way to help move.
Sorry I have literally been MIA for the past few weeks, but don't be to worried you will see us this weekend.  For the past little while Zack's parents have been closing on a house they want to move into, until they build again. Needless to say Amber and I have been packing up the rooms that aren't being used, and going through lots of things. (It's actually been a lot of fun because we don't have to do it all in one weekend we have time to do it a bit at a time.) Anywho's this past week we did a lot. We moved Hayden's room. Midge he has more shoes than you and more clothes than you, me, and Erica put together. I wish I was kidding. It took a whole truck load to move all of his clothes. I intend to write him and tell him all about moving his blasted clothes.  Seriously, ridiculous amounts of clothes. After Hayden's room we did Tayla's literally a mountain of toys. The good thing about helping Amber move everything is she told me stories about a just about everything, and I came home with some pretty cool items.

The house they are moving to is down on the beach on the South end of Bear Lake, which they are way excited about because they will be able to launch the boat from there. Speaking of the boat the temperature is officially cold, and the boys talked me into going wake-boarding with them a few weeks ago. Safe to say I froze to death, and lost the feeling in my toes permanently.

Wake-boarding in FREEZING WATER
On Saturday we moved the storage room which had enough Christmas decorations in it Mom and Grandma would have been proud. We chain-ganged the big silver food storage cans from the storage room through the basement kitchen, through the down-stairs family room, through the glass door, to the back of the trailer, and finally to the front of the trailer. Safe to say it was a good time. Though my hands are semi-bruised and sore from catching the  "Heavy"  cans as they were tossed to me.  Tonight we tackle both garages, hopefully we have it done before this storm hits to hard tonight, and through the rest of the week.  If not... well it will be an adventure.

In a bit of other news TYLER comes home SOON! You all should be crazy excited!

Aggies/Utes/Family/Surfing

Newsflash I married a DIE-HARD AGGIE! According to me all of you should know that the University of Utah Utes played the Utah State Aggies a little while ago, The Man and I went and well... The Utes played the worst game I have ever seen them play. Error after Error. However, their Punter is phenomenal I expect him to get drafted. Anyways here is a short clip from the very beginning of the game. By the way everyone on the planet should attend a Utah State Basketball game it's life changing. No really.

See #70 there? That is my good buddy Goma Nielson played for Hurricane is kind of a HUGE kid. But truly a teddy bear. He didn't see the playing field except from where you see him right now, but I have the utmost confidence that in a year he will be a big deal for the Utes.
Doesn't even do it justice.

Saw this on Pinterest it looked pretty funny. I did it The Man made omelets... :) Success. However, The Man shared these eggs with his parents... His dad called me shortly after asking me if I named all of the eggs I bought. Now it's a running joke and i'm at the end of it.

Last weekend we had a visit from that crazy cousin of mine with a beautiful, hilarious family. You know Isaac, Stashia and the girls? They came over and we went surfing. Along with the Gardiners, Landon and Hailee. It was such a good time, Landon had never surfed before but by the end of our 3 hour bout on the lake he almost had it down.

I don't want to brag... But I am getting pretty dang good at surfing.

The Man went surfing landed his 360 a few times (for the first time ever mind you) Then came and grabbed Miss Cambry and that girl was a champion.
(Straight off the back so Cambry didn't get in the water)

With the Rope.
Without the Rope
On shoulders, no rope, and no crashing. Shortly after this The Man pulled her down off his shoulders and came right on to the swim deck on the back of the boat, and handed her to Isaac.
It was a good time as you can see. I wish you all could have seen HOW Cambry got on The Mans shoulders it was pretty hilarious as I watched from the rear view mirror. (Yes you may assume I was driving)  She started out between his legs like you see in the picture, and then he picked her up under her armpits and awkwardly held her in front of him while he surfed. Then realized his arm's weren't long enough to lift her like that onto his shoulders so he tossed her into the air and caught her by the hips and then put her on his shoulders.  It was excellent and it mildly scared Stashia.

On a further note, The Man has a girlfriend. She is featured in the pictures above cute blonde.  (She has excellent taste if I may say so and I can because this is my blog.) I was texting Isaac the day after and he told me about a conversations which I'm sure went something like this:

Isaac: Cambry did you have fun yesterday?
Cambry: Yeah dad I had a date.
Isaac: Oh you did with who?
Cambry: Zack.
Isaac: What did you guys do?

Cambry proceeded to describe to her dad exactly what she and The Man had done the day before like Isaac wasn't even there. Pretty funny kid.

Raspberry Days!

Zack and I didn't take our camera to Powell with us (well we did but forgot the charger) consequently we have no pictures.  I expect all of you to post your awesome pictures, so we also can enjoy them. Some of you are curious to know how my first Raspberry Days turned out here are a few pictures so you can see how we did everything, though I apologize we do not have a good picture of the float. Though the pageant itself didn't go exactly the way I wanted it to... awol MC. BUT it was alright I have been asked to do it again next year so if you have any ideas please let me know.

The float after the parade, it took 2nd Place by the way. Everything looks a little smashed but the girls were just to excited to not mash everything. :)

Some of the girls sitting on a giraffe before the parade started.

The Berry Princess Brittany.

The people who came this isn't even taken from the back row, and a bit of the stage.

The stage.

Me and the stage complete with turtles and giraffes.

The girlies.
Some of you know after Powell we went down to Phoenix for the Isagenix Celebration and it was AMAZING seriously loved every second of it. Except when we hit the trash can on our way through St. George...
....

This is Zack, Gary, Dr. Michael Colgan, Amber and Me. on our way out we saw Dr. Colgan and just had to go talk with him. He is brilliant! He works with athletes, and does brain studies. He recently developed two new Isagenix products. One is a sleep syrum for healthier, better sleep. The second is a brain pill to stop the brain from degenerating at the age of 35.

For your viewing pleasure pictures, pictures, and some videos.

Alright I know it's been forever and  A LOT has happened since we last had are blogging connection so here we go. Zack and I went to a REAL Salt Lake game it was incredible everyone should go sometime but I can not seem to locate the picture as of now so I'll post it some other time. Here we go.

Zack and I have a goal to go to all the temples in Utah this is Jordan River which is Zack's favorite so far. This temple is huge, not quite Salt Lake big but massive.
Out of all the temples we have gone to this is my least favorite.  Mostly because it is kind of forbidding looking when you are on the outside with its no window walls, it is built like a fortress. The inside is amazing however.

This is what consumes my life right now. (And it's driving me crazy so ready to be done with this.)
Ah the dynamic duo Scarlet and Tyler we had a little get together by the river where we acted like crazy pyros and threw burning logs into the river.
At a Winston-Salem Dash game. At this game we were the between innings  entertainment, and we were almost killed by a baseball bat and no I am not exaggerating this guys chucked it right over his dugout and into the stands aka our row.

We had some Mongolian food. (so good we are addicted) With our African friends this is Arway and her son Elkana.
North Carolina Action for you guys.

These beautiful people have opened my eyes to seafood.
I thank them.
This is the youngest Wallin Emma.. she has an older sister named Abi.  She is hilarious.

Now for those of you who had a great time in Cali that is awesome! I'm so glad you guys had a blast though I knew you would. However, I also know most of you are gearing up for POWELL IN AUGUST!!! WHOOT WHOOT! Zack and I are still working out the details, but I'm hoping we are in.  Here is are recent excursion to that heavenly place to get you guys all excited.

Zao getting some air!
Zack after he literally ran up a cliff.  So fun story for you guys we had a cool cove that we were chilling in which was surrounded by cliffs and big boulders and all sorts of cool things. Later this night, not these rocks but ones Zack almost walked on while he was wandering around up there,  decided it was time to fall and they did. It sounded like thunder. Really, REally REALLY close thunder. Which echoed around the cove for a minute or so.  Zack almost walked on the rocks that fell but just had a bad feeling so he didn't grateful right now that the Spirit was there to keep us safe.

Zack out on the paddle board seriously so much fun.

Lauren she is 10 getting up surfing! (family friendly)

Dan not wearing a life jacket while he Ski's

Brady (Cassidy's boyfriend) getting some air on the wakeboard.
Zack telling the awful driver to go right.

Zack clearing the wake
Cassidy gets air but then freaks out and lets go of the rope.

I do not get air.

I know guys it's been a while but shush I have lot's to say.  First I love conference. I truly do, this was my first Conference after going through the Temple and honestly just about every talk said something that reminded me of the temple loved it. Speaking of temples, and family President Uchtdorf's talk was awesome I love that man he keeps it real.

Things you guys probably didn't know Zack and I went to the Salt Lake Temple with Landon and Hailee it was incredible! I don't know if you guys have been through but it's something everyone should do. Anywho's Landon and Hailee both volunteer at the temple so they took us "around" and showed us some pretty amazing things. There is so much history in that building, it's overwhelming.

This is one of the pictures we took on the Honeymoon welcome to Jackson Lake. All Zack could say about this was "Look at that water it's glass." I think he is a little excited for Powell in 52 days. (but who's counting).
April remember when we all went to YellowStone and you said if someone found you a moose you would buy them icecream? Yeah I remember to. Here is a moose when we were up at Bloomington Lake.

You can't really see it but this is my first Isagenix check and my IsaCard which works like a debit card. This is what I do full time now, and honestly I'm loving it. It's great because I get to help people reach their health goals everyday. Zack and I have worked out a system I get the people talking and he seals the deal.

This is a recipe I tried not to long ago calls for chicken, rice, pineapple, peppers and any other veggie you have in the fridge. It's quite delicious if I may so so myself.

Who is this? This is Zack in North Carolina with Jordan Wallin. We will be seeing the Wallins' and many others next month and we are quite excited.

Something truly worthy of excitement. We set aside a pretty large sum of money to purchase plane tickets to NC. But we only spent $20 dollars on them. Zack and I are thinking about buying a home and ergo in order to get a loan we have to have credit so we got a SouthWest Venture card which upon getting it we received 50,000 flier points to use towards any tickets we wanted. the points covered the cost, and we paid the 20 dollars for processing. Way excited to back out to NC in May!

Random Pictures

So this is my first time ever making bread at mi casa  and it was delicious. You may now call me Betty Crocker.
Speaking of food and my AMAZING cooking abilities the other day I was being all domestic and was looking through   one of my recipe websites/blogs called ThePioneerWoman and she helped me add to the favorite food list (ok it only has three or four meals on them but it's growing) It's called Ranch Style Chicken the marinade was really easy complete with mustard, lemon-juice, paprika, honey, and cayenne pepper. Yep delicious.

You can't really see them but there are deer in my back yard yeah just chilling out there.  Yes the wilderness is right in my back yard.

Oh yes I told Zack that one day I was going to spike his hair and this morning he let me. After a bit of gel, and a blow dryer this is what I came up with.  He has decided that he needs a hair cut.

In other news we were finally summoned to meet with the Bishopric. (yes the whole Bishopric all of them) They then gave us a calling, or rather gave me a calling and then gave Zack two. First Zack teaches the Elders once a month, and is the Secretary in the Young Mens and now gets to be all chummy with the Priest he is excited about it. Though I'm not because he will now be occupied on Tuesday nights and some weekends i'll be hanging out all by myself.  However, I have decided that while he is gone i'll study my lesson. After all teaching the eight to nine year olds in Primary is going to take a lot of studying i'm sure. My companion is recently moved into our ward so we are the nubes I have yet to meet her but I bet she is awesome.
