The Day Before The Night Before

My beautiful Wife

and the photographer did an excellent job with this photo I might add

Today we got to go down to Salt Lake and walk around the Gateway mall where there were thousands of last minute shoppers and plenty of people-watching to be had, including Brooks' long lost brother who flipped out when he saw a giant Angry Birds display.

We also went to Temple Square where we watched "The Prophet of the Restoration." Which was way more intense then I remember and Tia cried the whole time. Then we spent the rest of the evening walking around Temple Square and seeing all the awesome lights! The blue ones were my favorite. We are definitely decorating our house with some sweet blue lights next year.

Anyways I hope you guys all enjoyed the day before the night before. Have a Merry Christmas!

For Now Apt A1

Back again to Cold Country. I love my husband, he is always so willing to agree to things like speaking in church in January. I'm happy to say I will speak first and we all know what that means and I now have a month to prepare, now if I only had my topic. . . The trip back was eventful once we hit Provo. We found ourselves surrounded by not-so-great drivers which almost caused an accident but once again Zack is an amazing driver and we BARELY missed the car that swerved into our lane. Some of you may be thinking man that's a long drive and it is. Zack and I have a new game it's called "Let's name our kids". It is always entertaining. Upon reaching our steak sauce apartment I was warned to put on a sweater which I ignored as we quickly unloaded the car and went into our home which is usually a pleasant 73 degrees... it was 55 when we came in and then the vents blew cold air. This didn't strike me as a problem until I needed to brush my teeth and had to stand on the frozen tile, or put on my cold sweat-pants, or hop into our usually really cozy bed. Having dealt with cold beds before I plugged in my blow dryer and warmed it up much to Zack's amusement. So that's what's new Zack is working I'm browsing recipes like a sophisticated house wife, and updating my blog for you peeps.

Preview of things to come: McKee Christmas Party is Sunday, a video of A1, my latest cooking endeavors, pictures recently acquired from Jordan Ha and sledding.

The Other Side

Well TONS has happened in the past little while so here is an update from when we left the reception. :) (update not details) We took off and drove to Orem where we almost WALKED INTO THE WRONG ROOM just so you know 129 is not 126. We took off the next morning and drove to Driggs, Idaho and stayed in Doug's (don't know his last name) other home which was amazing. FUN FACT Zack and I chose to get married during the off season of EVERYTHING Yellowstone, Bear World...etc. BUT Jackson was pretty sweet RIPLEY'S believe it or not grossed me out and blew my little brain. TARGHEE I don't think that's how you spell it is a pretty awesome ski resort where you can ski practically to your room door. The PALISADES are gorgeous even covered in snow and Zack loves ORANGE STICKS as much as Grandpa Bringhurst does.

We came back to Bear Lake on Thanksgiving and packed up the rest of Zack's room/stuff BECAUSE WE MOVED into our first apartment. On Friday we came down to Bear Hollow and did a mountain of paperwork did a quick walk through and then moved in all of our stuff from the storage unit, and Gary and Amber's. Which included all of the gifts, my stuff, his stuff, two pull out couches, a love seat, a wood full/twin bunk bed, a BBQ, two lamps, his desk, my guitar and hopefully our dining room table and chairs and bed set soon. Much thanks to the in-laws and Brady for helping us maneuver the blasted stairs and hallway.

Then we went to our FIRST EVER USU football game it was an awesome game and way intense the second half we were on our feet the whole time. Then we went on our FIRST EVER SHOPPING EXCURSION Zack and I are both ornery shoppers. :( it's unfortunate but we made it through. Question for you guys I need good simpleton recipes and menu ideas because we only go to Logan once a week if we are lucky. So any suggestions you guys have would be greatly appreciated.

WEATHER well it's Christmas time up here that's for sure. There is maybe 8 inches of snow on the ground, and it makes for a great SNOWBALL. :) Zack and I have both discovered that.

APARTMENT: It's quite big. Well bigger than the two of us need that's for sure we have 2 1/2 baths which is nice, a laundry room minus a washer and dryer :) so for now just an empty room with the Open House stuff in it. A kitchen with lots of counter space and empty cabinets, a dining room currently with a low hanging light and no table, a living room, a 15 stair set that I have already managed to fall down. A bedroom which is currently the office, and another bedroom which is fulfilling the measure of its creation is home to the bunk bed. Our master bedroom is nice we have a beautifully made mattress on the floor as it awaits it's real home which should arrive sometime today with the bed-frame and dresser. So for now it's just a combination of hangars, suitcases, a full laundry basket, and boxes. WE LOVE IT. :)

Life is good. Zack is currently at work and I am procrastinating the dishes from last night.

Salt Water Concentration

Ladies and Gents need I say that San Diego was a heal of a good time? I'll say it yes it was a good time. Here are some pictures of my traveling com-padres and a few things that inspire me.

This is the 100 lbs club. Everyone on the stage has lost 100-199lbs Amber stands here with her 106 lbs sign and the man on her left apparently hits on her every year. However, this is amazing to have a product that can help people lose weight in excess is outstanding.

This is us at Balboa park.
Heal click.
OCEAN.
Yes he pulled me in, and yes my mouth was open, and yes i was attacked by seaweed, and yes the water was rather warm, and yes it was a lot of fun.
A game at which I am not very good at. HOW TO BEGIN pick a sour patch kid color... Zack picked red and yellow, fortunate Tia picked orange thinking "how many can there be?" RULES: every time your opponent pulls out your color you eat it. PERIOD. I liked this game, until Zack pulled out FIVE ORANGE ONES in a ROW!! this is the reaction he caught. .. and yes he is rocking his Chaco tan lines.
Shields girls have nothing on me.
In front of the Marriot
Zack is a freak for those of you thinking he is a normal guy. he isn't. This is what he does for fun, he sticks his awesome camera under the water in the pool and snaps his picture.
Not just farmers get tan lines.

San Diego
This lady is the first member of the 400lbs club. Which is both morbidly disgusting AND equally impressive. She is aiming for the 700lbs club next year I believe and you know what? I think she can do it.
These are the IsaFREAKS but all the way around quite loveable peopleIt's Oceanography!

North to ... Logan.

Here we are me and the Midge at the wedding. Things I liked it was short sweet and to the point, it was outside, and I found a new addiction CHEESECAKE SQUARES.

FEDEX MAN- I know I am just one of those people that ends up in situations that are semi-awkward and or hilarious. So before we headed out to the carnival, parade, rodeo in Preston Zack was in the shower and I was making sandwiches and wat not. When the doorbell rang. I go and answer it and there is the Fed-Ex man we exchange formal greetings and he then tells me he needs a signature for the package he is attempting to deliver. No big deal right? Well, he asked me "Are you a McKee?" I stuttered and then said "Yes" he gave me a really weird look and I started to explain myself and here was my explanation "Well I will be." he glances behind me, "Zack is in the shower..." He hands me the clipboard and towers over my shoulder seeing what I sign. Thoroughly panicking I signed "T. McKee" yeah I know I am that awesome.

Isaac's youngest Mah-lee-ah and me wandering around the store.
So I'm carrying this little blue eyed girl around and this old lady comes up to us and she looks at me and says not kidding "She is adorable she looks just like you!" I smiled and said "thanks, you know I kinda like her." The old lady grins "I can see that you two are so cute." I nod "Yes I think so too. I used to know her father but I don't talk with him anymore." Really Lady? We look NOTHING alike.

this is us after a little GoKart ride Zack took me out to what he called "the perfect make-out gokart location" or something like that. The water looks awesome, but it was really gross. :)

AUNT STATUS

As most of you peeps know Kate made me an aunt again with the birth of little Emma Beth 6lbs-5ounces, 19 inches long, and a whole bundle of cuteness. I see ribbons and a lot of laughs from that girl in the near future.

Here is Abi and I on the way over. I know in this picture it looks like I'm more excited but really it was her.

Papa Ross assisting Abi in holding her little sister.
Ah the babe.

To you peeps who are reading this blog I apologize for changing the background and wat not every other day I'm looking for one I like and have yet to fine it. I apologize for the future modgepodge of colors that will invade your eyes like a kaleidoscope. My sister in law of the month name April May has told me that the Powell video below is lame. Sorry I don't have access to any of the videos otherwise I would post one. But there are a few pictures for you of my adventure to Lake Powell with The McKee's and the Snells.
